Would you believe that I had never heard of Shirley before last week? You’re the third or fourth person that mentioned it. Now I’m curious.

    Happy reading this week!

I had never heard of it until I started the Bronte challenge. It’s not what I expected.

Good luck with Shirley. I loved Jane Eyre but abandoned Villette halfway through and don’t think I’ll be trying any of the rest of hers any time soon.

I couldn’t read Villette either. I told myself I would try again, but decided on Shirley instead. I didn’t think I would enjoy this one when I started reading, but when Shirley finally appears, the story picks up.

Seems like you’re a big Bronte fan! I read Wuthering Heights for the first time very recently, no I have to read something by Charlotte.
