Review requests and such…

This is a personal review blog. I have no plans to allow guest posts or host author interviews at this time.

I mostly blog about fiction (with a few exceptions).

I will consider review requests,  but have limited time for reviews. I will only accept review requests/offers if the book sounds like something I would normally read.

That said, I will ONLY consider the following for review:

Books with a strong female protagonist or a strong female presence in the following categories.

Genre fiction: Historical fiction or fantasy.

YA fiction: Fantasy, Sci-fi, girl’s life, or comedy diaries.

Literary fiction: Historical or multicultural themes.

If I turn down a review or do not reply to your request, it is because of the following reasons:

• I don’t think I will enjoy the book.
• Time constraints! I’m a full-time academic librarian; there are a lot of demands on my time.

When requesting a review, please provide the following information:

• Your name, email, and a link to your website (if available).
• The title of the book and the genre/category.
• Please describe your book by providing a summary, or a link to a summary/blurb.
